Overcast skies greeted this languorous lass long after first light. Stratocumulus cloud cover had infused my dreams with enigmatic energy difficult to shake.
Three vehicles inhabited the typically desolate lot, but I wouldn’t cross another homosapien [sapien] soul on the trail. Solitary scouting revealed a great many other companions, few of whom cared to associate with one of my kind. Who can blame ’em?
Balanced Rock Trail boasts at least two boulders seemingly defying Newton {not a care in the world about -9.8 m/s-squared}. The photos I’ve included barely do them justice. I stood upon a large sister boulder near *the* Balanced Rock to take panoramas of Granite and Cholla Mountains. Enjoy.
